Prescriptions

Prescriptions are available from this practice and you may obtain Prescription Only Medicines, (POM-Vs) from your veterinary surgeon OR ask for a prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy.

Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe PM-Vs only for animals under his or her care. A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary. You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine that may be prescribed for your animal.

The general policy of this practice is to re-assess an animal requiring repeat prescriptions every 3-6 months but this very much depends upon individual patients, clinical conditions and the decision of the individual clinician after discussion with the owner.

The standard charge for on-going medication consultation examination is £15.36

The standard charge for a written prescription is £15.36

Please note- all medicines used are Licensed Veterinary Products unless no such Licensed Product exists for that medicine.
